Cheap Ixtapa Hotels

Ixtapa is a government-based tourist resort in Guerrero, Mexico. It is considered to be part of the municipality of Zihuatanejo de Azueta. Vacationers obtain excellent rates on a stay at one of the cheap hotels in Ixtapa. Many of these Ixtapa hotel deals combine the price of your guest room with the price of your meals, so you can secure your vacation for one fee. These hotels are also located on the beach, making it easy for you to go swimming, surfing, sun bathing, kayaking, canoeing, scuba diving, parasailing, waterskiing, or snorkeling. The children may even want to stay on land and build a sandcastle.

Ixtapa was originally a coconut plantation until the government changed it into a resort destination during the 1970s. Many notable chains got involved in setting up one of their own hotels in the resort area, creating numerous Ixtapa cheap hotels. Some of the first companies to build Ixtapa resorts include the Holiday Inn, Club Med, and Park Royal. After you secure your lodgings, you’ll want to participate in the area's selection of activities. Attractions include the Picante Magical Sunset Cruise, the Dolphin Encounter, the Marina Ixtapa Golf Club, Adventure Park, Magic World, Fun on Wheels, Kopado’s Music Bar, and the Museo Arqueologico de la Costa Grande. Ixtapa does have its own airport, the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport, which you can use to reach your resort. There is also the option of arriving by bus. Average weather for Ixtapa remains in the 80’s year round.
